Republic of Georgia
Our first major project is in the Republic of Georgia, where we are working to reintroduce the Bezoar Ibex, Caspian Red Deer, and Caucasian tur—species that have been lost from many areas due to poaching and habitat destruction. By establishing breeding centers and partnering with organizations who have already helped lay a foundation for conservation, we are working to build robust, self-sustaining animal populations in the wild.
We believe conservation only succeeds when local communities are engaged as active participants. That’s why we work closely with regional leaders, landowners, and conservationists to develop sustainable eco-tourism opportunities, including wildlife tourism and conservation-driven hunting. When local communities see the tangible benefits of conservation, they become its strongest advocates.
At Wild Giants Conservation Fund, we are building a results-driven conservation model that is both effective and self-sustaining—one that ensures the survival of iconic wildlife for generations to come.
